JOB SUMMARY
Burger Electricians install and repair electrical systems and electrical / electronic components on luxury yachts as well as commercial vessels. This position requires the ability to adjust and troubleshoot electrical equipment as needed during the entire construction phase of all Burger projects.
We are looking for Electricians of varying skill levels. Starting pay commensurate with experience and skill level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Hanging / running electrical trays, runways or harnesses, and pulling cable
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics
- Performing basic lay-out work
- Wiring and understanding 3 and 4-way circuits
- Performing rough-in wiring
- Using an ammeter, probe, voltmeter, and other testing devices
MORE EXPERIENCED APPLICANTS
- Work with 12/24/32 Volt DC Systems
- Develop schematics
- Design and perform extensive lay-out work, terminations, and systems planning
- Solve all problems related to electrical systems
- Possess knowledge of advanced electronics (Radar, VHF, SSB, Satellite systems)
- Demonstrate consistency and proficiency in all trade related knowledge and experience
EDUCATION
An associate degree or journeyman’s credentials and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, etc. is preferred.
