JOB SUMMARY

This position will work with and under the guidance of our Electrical Coordinator to facilitate the training and development of new employees in the Electrical department.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Support the installation of electrical components on and in the boat
  • Assist in training and developing new hires in the department
  • Demonstrate a safety-first mindset while still meeting production goals
  • Read and act upon electrical schematics
  • Perform fabrication and installation of wire trays
  • Interpret correct locations for running wire and assist in doing so
  • Teach basic electrical requirements for the job and make sure new hires and active employees understand them and demonstrate their ability do so


POSITION IN ORGANIZATION

This position reports to our Electrical Manager, Tracy Crandle, and has no direct reports.

The candidate must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen, talk, and teach. The candidate must also demonstrate an all-pervasive positive attitude.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a shipyard manufacturing environment. This role must routinely use the personal protective equipment, tools, machinery, and products used in the electrical department. The position requires regular travel throughout the production floor, which requires climbing stairs and inspecting items in tight spaces. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
