Listing Overview
Overview:
YIA SOU had a major refit in 2000. This included a complete bottom peel, then 3 layers of blister protect epoxy were applied and 2 coats of new paint. The transom was changed from cockpit to Euro Style with an integrated swim platform. The aft deck roof was extended. New flooring in galley, hall and wheelhouse. New teak decks from Teak Decking Systems. Complete Awlgrip and super structure paint. An excess of half a million dollars was spend on her refit. Under the current owner since 2005, maintenance and upgrades have been generous including Awlgrip paint in 2007. Condition is excellent.
Classic Hargrave styling and fine condition make YIA SOU very desirable. She is also one of the best values on the market. She has five guest staterooms, 2400 mile range at 10 knots. She has shining Awlgrip paint. Five staterooms with master on deck. All teak interior.

Comments
The naval architect, the builder and the various owners deserve high praise for creating and maintaining this wonderful yacht. Five great staterooms, excellent crew quarters, generous engine room, huge storage lazarette, immense space on all decks for enjoyment and storage. Renowned for comfort at sea and frugal fuel use, YIA SOU is a pleasure for all whether passaging to the Med or Alaska or just lying at anchor in a Caribbean cove.
Charming with satin finished teakwood cabinetry throughout and elegant in her shiny coat of white Awlgrip paint, YIA SOU offers more for less than any comparable yacht we know. Properly equipped and ready to cruise.
Considering that the engines have 6000 hours since overhaul and that although they are running properly now, the price of YIA SOU has been set low to compensate for eventual rebuild of engines and generators. The fact that all are running well is testimonial to the continued proper care and operation of YIA SOU.
